Optimising Space with Sealed System Components
Sealed systems are not notoriously space saving, with many components needing to be fitted in often limited spaces. With homes changing in shape and size, it is important for solutions to be in place to ensure that a quality sealed system can be installed without compromising on space.
Often, a wall mounting bracket can be seen as an invasion of space however, expansion vessels should never be left unsupported. By developing a space saving solution, combing all required components onto one bracket, could Installers save time, space and money?
One Unit, One Solution
For ease in installation, the new Multifunction Expansion Vessel Brackets from Altecnic combines all required components in a single assembly. The Multifunction Expansion Vessel Bracket comes in two versions, one standard version (133-1065) and ‘Plus’ version (133-1066).
These components include:
- A bracket arm
- A pressure gauge
- A 5026 Robocal® automatic air vent
- Plus version includes a lockable isolation valve and drain off
By all components being available as a singular unit, the installer saves time, space, and money during the installation process, and through to maintenance of the system.
Improving System Maintenance
Maintaining the quality of a system relies on maintaining the quality of the air vent. So, included as part of the Multifunction Expansion Vessel Bracket assembly is the 5026 Robocal® air vent, a quick, easy and cost-effective solution to air entering a heating system.
The 5026 Robocal® releases air from a system that is being filled with water and automatically isolates this air - preventing water loss, damage and wastage from the system. This isolation is key to ensuring that the system remains intact whilst ridding the system of air.
By forward thinking to ensure the quality of the system is maintained, the inclusion of the 5026 Robocal® as part of this single assembly means maintenance operations are simplified because of the automatic shut-off valve. The Robocal® shuts off the water supply when the valve is being removed thus allowing for much faster, easier inspection and maintenance.
Making Installing Expansion Vessels Easier
Expansion vessels are the centre of all sealed systems, so it is important for their installation to be made as easy as possible for installers.
The lockable isolation valve comes as part of the Multifunction Expansion Vessel Bracket Plus kit, providing an easy method of fitting an expansion vessel to a system. The compact design requires the minimum space needed, whilst still allowing for safe and secure isolation of an expansion vessel.
To allow for ease with future maintenance, the drain feature allows the expansion vessel to be drain off liquid should the expansion vessel need to be removed for any reason, minimising any water spillage during removal.
The lockable feature included with the isolation valve also ensures that the system remains safe, preventing accidental isolation, which could cause a major safety hazard.
The Multifunction Expansion Vessel Bracket provides the whole solution for an installer, from installation through to maintenance, without invading precious space for the homeowner.
