THERMOSTATIC BLENDING VALVE - NON-FAILSAFE VALVE FOR GENERAL USE

The 520 adjustable thermostatic mixing valves is designed to maintain the preset temperature of the mixed water delivered to the user despite variations in the temperature of the water contained in the system.

The 520 is ideally suitable of use on underfloor heating to maintain the circulating water through the underfloor coil at the preset temperature, by mixing hot water from the boiler with the return water from the coil.

116 THERMOSTATIC REGULATOR FOR HOT WATER RECIRCULATION

The Altecnic thermostatic regulator for domestic hot water re-circulation systems automatically maintain the specified water temperature.
The thermostatic regulator is intended to be installed in the return pipe of each re-circulation circuit, automatically maintaining the specified water temperature. The regulator controls the flow rate in accordance with the inlet water temperature by means of a dedicated internal thermostatic cartridge. When the water temperature approaches the set value, the obturator progressively closes and reduces the flow passage reducing the amount of water re-circulating.
The water supplied by the re-circulation pump is available to be distributed to other branches in the system, resulting in effective automatic thermal balancing. The regulator is equipped with a thermal disinfection function, which is useful if the water temperature exceeds 55 to 60˚C

About our Domestic Thermostatic Mixing Valves

The Altecnic TMV range covers use with hot and cold water, with inlet pressures of up to 14 bar, maximum inlet temperatures of 85°C, and temperature controls of +/-2°C.

Why use a TMV?

In domestic settings, TMVs are particularly important where young children and the elderly are present. Typically, people in these demographics are at particular risk of life-threatening scalds due to a potential lack of mobility and skin sensitivity. Fitting can be a legal requirement.

The primary feature of a TMV is that it offers additional safety via a thermal shutdown mechanism. In the event of a disruption to the hot or cold water supply to the valve, the failsafe design shuts off the mixed water flow automatically.
